The Lightsaber Fight is a homebrew film featuring a lightsaber battle between two or more actors. The actors in these videos are more representative of participants at a weekend-long LAN party than warriors in a deadly laser sword battle, but there are many exceptions. The lightsaber battle itself often occurs in a normal, 21st century setting (as opposed to an attempt to re-create a scene from the Star Wars universe). However, many Star Wars themes are employed or commented upon, including the depiction of "the force" as well as the use of the sort of Classical, stilted dialogue that could only occur in a Star Wars movie.
The digital lightsaber effect used in lightsaber videos is often created using After Effects, an Adobe software product.
